Client Wellness Guide (Part-Time)

Bay Area Brain Spa is a woman-owned, technology-forward wellness center devoted to nervous system regulation, recovery, and optimized well-being.

We are seeking a grounded, wellness-experienced professional to join our small team as a Client Wellness Guide.

This role is not simply front desk support. It is a steady, caring presence for our clients — helping them feel safe, informed, and supported throughout their wellness journey.

We are looking for someone who genuinely believes in what we do and wants to be part of a calm, mission-driven environment long-term.

Who This Role Is For

This position is ideal for someone who:

  • Has prior experience in a wellness, spa, holistic health, or health-adjacent environment

  • Values consistency, professionalism, and meaningful client relationships

  • Lives a wellness-oriented lifestyle and understands nervous system care

  • Is seeking stable, part-time work — not a temporary stepping stone

  • Appreciates structure, responsibility, and being part of a small, collaborative team

If you are in a short-term transition, planning extended travel, or primarily seeking experience for a future career path, this role is unlikely to be a fit.

Why you’ll love it here

  • Work with cutting-edge wellness tech in a serene, spa-like setting

  • See real client wins and be part of a supportive, mission-driven team

  • Learn, grow, and enjoy self-care on us (use of services is part of the role)

What you’ll do

  • Welcome clients with warmth, steadiness, and professionalism

  • Guide each client through their visit from arrival to departure

  • Manage bookings and client communications (text, phone, email)

  • Learn our technologies and confidently explain their benefits in clear, non-medical language

  • Ask thoughtful questions about client goals and help match them with appropriate services

  • Maintain a pristine, calming space:

    • Reset stations

    • Sanitize and disinfect between clients

    • Restock supplies

    • Light cleaning (laundry, sweeping, vacuuming)

    • Maintain restrooms and refreshment areas

This is an active role that requires both emotional presence and physical task work.

You’ll thrive in this role if you are

  • People-first: excellent listener with graceful, upbeat communication

  • Calm under pressure: can multitask, prioritize, and stay composed

  • Detail-driven & reliable: punctual, organized, proactive, and a strong team player

  • Tech-comfortable: confident with various machines, scheduling, messaging, POS

  • Trauma-sensitive: able to hold space for sensitive clients (trauma-informed is a plus)

  • Passionate about health and wellness (for all brains and all bodies)

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a wellness, spa, health, or client-facing care environment

  • Strong alignment with nervous system regulation, holistic wellness, or technology-based health services

  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication

  • Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and proactive

  • Comfortable with technology (scheduling software, messaging systems, POS)

  • Ability to stand for a 6-hour shift and lift up to 25 lbs

Schedule Requirements

  • Wednesday & Thursday: 1:30–7:30 pm

  • Sunday required

  • Occasional Saturdays

  • 12–18 hours per week

Commitment

This role requires a 1-year commitment.
Because we invest deeply in training and client relationships, we are seeking someone who intends to be a consistent presence in our community over time.

Pay & perks

  • Starting at $25/hour DOE with growth as responsibilities increase

  • On-the-job training + employee discounts

  • Monthly allowance for Brain Spa self-care services (use required)

  • Professional development support
