Supporting the Brain Through Neurodegeneration
When someone receives a diagnosis like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, or dementia, the medical path is the foundation. But the question we hear most often from families is: what else can we do?
That question is the right one. The brain retains far more capacity for adaptation and support than most people are told. Emerging research on neurofeedback, transcranial photobiomodulation, and frequency-based therapies points to real, measurable benefits for people living with neurodegenerative conditions — not as a replacement for medical care, but alongside it.
We work with clients navigating these diagnoses and their families. This is what we offer and why.
NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback
The brain affected by neurodegeneration is one that has lost flexibility. Patterns that once shifted fluidly become rigid. The nervous system gets stuck.
NeurOptimal® doesn’t tell the brain what to do. It reflects the brain’s own electrical activity back to it in real time, through subtle pauses in music or a film you’re watching. The brain notices the signal and recalibrates. Over many sessions, it builds greater flexibility and self-regulation on its own.
For people with Parkinson’s, research has shown improvements in motor symptoms, mood, and overall quality of life with neurofeedback training. For those navigating Alzheimer’s or dementia, supporting the brain’s capacity to self-regulate matters for sleep, emotional stability, and cognitive engagement.
Sessions are effortless. No concentration required. You sit in a comfortable chair and let the brain do the work.
For clients who can’t get to the studio regularly, NeurOptimal® home rentals are available. Consistent, frequent sessions are where the real change accumulates, and home training makes that possible.

Transcranial Photobiomodulation (The Neuronic Helmet)
Near-infrared light at the right wavelength penetrates the skull and reaches brain tissue directly. This is transcranial photobiomodulation, and it’s one of the more exciting areas of neurodegenerative research right now.
The Neuronic helmet we use delivers 1070nm near-infrared light to the brain. At the cellular level, this wavelength targets the mitochondria, the energy-producing structures inside neurons. In Parkinson’s disease specifically, mitochondrial dysfunction is one of the core drivers of cell death. Research on photobiomodulation has demonstrated neuroprotective effects including reduced neuroinflammation, improved cellular energy production, and protection of dopamine-producing neurons.
A home-based photobiomodulation study on Parkinson’s patients found that 55% of participants reported improvements in tremor, stiffness, gait, swallowing, speech, fine motor skills, and social confidence, with those improvements sustained for up to 24 months. neuronic
Research has also shown that photobiomodulation may reduce scarring in the brain, lower cellular stress, calm neuroinflammation, reduce the harmful effects of alpha-synuclein protein accumulation, and improve blood flow, all of which are relevant to Parkinson’s disease progression. neuronic
All members receive a Neuronic helmet session before every neurofeedback appointment as part of their standard protocol. The two together create a compounding effect on brain health.

Vielight Duo
The Vielight Duo delivers near-infrared photobiomodulation through both intranasal and transcranial channels simultaneously. The intranasal channel reaches the brain’s blood supply directly through the nasal cavity. The transcranial component targets brain tissue from the outside.
A prospective proof-of-concept clinical trial using combined transcranial and intranasal photobiomodulation found significant improvements in mobility, cognition, dynamic balance, and fine motor skills over 12 weeks of treatment, with many improvements maintained for up to one year. vielight
We offer Vielight Duo sessions in studio and as a take-home rental. Ask about pairing it with neurofeedback for a combined brain support session.

BioCharger
The BioCharger delivers pulsed electromagnetic and light frequencies that support cellular energy and recovery. We use specific recipes developed for neurological support.
A Note for the Caregiver
Caring for someone with a neurodegenerative condition is one of the most demanding things a person can do. The stress is chronic, the nervous system takes a beating, and caregiver needs are almost always last on the list.
They shouldn’t be.
A dysregulated nervous system can’t sustain the kind of care these situations require. Supporting yourself isn’t separate from supporting your person. It’s part of the same work.
Caregivers are welcome to come in on their own for our relaxing and nervous system regulation services. We also offer tandem sessions for those who want to train alongside the person they’re caring for, side by side in the same space. And if getting out isn’t always possible, a NeurOptimal® home rental means both of you can benefit without anyone having to leave the house.
If you’re the one holding everything together right now, this is a place for you too.
How to Get Started
Sessions are available individually, but this population benefits most from consistency. Neurodegenerative conditions require regular, sustained support, not a one-time visit. Think of it like physical therapy for the brain.
The neurofeedback 5-session pack at $250 is a good starting point. For clients and families who want to build real momentum, a monthly membership makes it easy to accumulate the session volume where lasting change happens. Home rental of NeurOptimal® is available for anyone who needs the flexibility of training at home.
We can bill Visa/MC branded HSA/FSA cards.
